It’s not a museum
Liverpool has a history. The Chillin' Rooms. Gary Youds. The "cannabis martyr" who was raided, arrested, and jailed — repeatedly — for running a café where people could consume cannabis. That café is not a licensed social club. It is not legal. It is a statement.
Roots run deep. Stars burn bright. The law hasn't changed.
The grey zone
The UK has no legal framework for cannabis social clubs. The Teesside Cannabis Club operates with local police support under a harm-reduction model. Liverpool does not have that arrangement. The scene is underground, informal, and vulnerable to enforcement.
Note to self: The UK Government says it has "no plans to change the law". Class B. 14 years for supply. The law is the law.
The paradox
Liverpool has a cannabis history that spans decades. Gary Youds is still fighting. The law hasn't changed. The Telegram group is where the conversation continues — like roots under the city, like stars above it.
